next to market square. plenty of options for sleep. maastricht city centre neighbourhood was definitely worth visiting.
-
Very convenient/central location.
The concept of having a bathroom door in frosted glass that doesn't lock and has the word bathroom etched out in big bold letters - effectively defeating the purpose of the frosting - needs to be re-examined! Fairly basic look and feel of the furniture and fittings in the room and bathroom. No double beds - not even queen size. Joining two single beds is definitely not the same thing.
-
We prefer to have a proper double bed rather than singles pushed together.

The staff and the service are excellemt!
Rooms in guest house need serious updating!!! Bigger tv, litle love with interior design!
-
It was so convenient to the train station as well as shopping and the square. Nice atmosphere, very contemporary
The service at the restaurant was not attentive. I had to ask repeatedly for another drink or the check.

The Derlon was very accomodating when we needed an extra night and also needed to add an extra person to our room due to a medical emergency. The staff were all quite nice and helpful. Room was clean, very nice. Very comfortable beds. Very quiet, we slept well. Location was great, and once we figured out how to work the Nespresso machine, it was good as well! I would not choose it as a family hotel, though. Better for couples.
The only things we did not like, and they were small things, was that the bathroom door was glass and let all the light out. It was difficult to get ready and not wake up everyone in the room. Also, another small issue was the coffee in the morning. Self-service coffee at breakfast would be better. As Americans, we like a couple of nice size cups in the morning, and the Derlon serves one small cup. It is possible to ask for more, but....otherwise the breakfast was very nice.

Loved the location! Just a few blocks from the main square, it was close enough to enjoy the shopping and great restaurants, but still had a quaint city-square feel. Staying over a weekend, it had the city-feel we wanted but the relaxing peace and calm we needed. It had the modern amenities and cleanliness on the inside with the old-world charm on the outside. The hotel staff was friendly and always helpful whether it was a restaurant recommendation or just calling our family a taxi (at any time). I would definitely recommend it even the exacting or demanding person.
-
Loved its location and the fact it was built on historical, Roman ruins.
Woke up a bit late, due to time difference and was told i could no longer partake in the complimentary breakfast..

We had our two rooms (my parents and I) in a different building, 50m from the hotel. It was an old house, clean and tidy but old...the stairs were so steep it was like climbing a mountain to the rooms. Not for old or middle aged people.
-
Excellent facilities - the type you want, not the type hotels often have but you never use; great styling; superb location; very helpful staff - which was important to us on this occasion as we were tight on time and needed to access the information and services we needed.
-
staff excellent, food and service excellent, location could not be any better, room spotless and first class in every way. would definately return their again and recommend this hotel to anyone
nothing
-
Service, gastvrij en charmant personeel, trendy interieur, maar nog geen eens water op de kamer, of iets anders, erg krenterig voor de toch geen weggeefprijs van 450,00
-
The hotel has a very elegant design and offers a cosy atmosphere and an excellent location in the historical site

Derlon Hotel appears as a very modern hotel in design with a warm atmosphere. Its young and professional staff provides best ultimate service, best hospitality and takes care of their guests in a very personal way. Its location in the heart of Maastricht is excellent for weekend stays. We enjoyed our time very much staying at the Derlon Hotel and felt like being at home. We will recommend the hotel to our our friends and to anybody who plans to visit the amazing city of Maastricht.
